Orthopaedic Surgeon
Kade Collins is a Melbourne and internationally trained Orthopaedic Surgeon, providing comprehensive care for hip and knee conditions, and upper and lower limb injuries in both children and adults.
Kade grew up in country Victoria, and moved to Melbourne for university and beyond. Always having a keen interest in fixing things, science & sports, Orthopaedic surgery and it’s ability to help others was a natural fit.
Dr Collins completed his orthopaedic surgical training in Victoria and Tasmania, spending time at leading hospitals for both trauma and elective surgery. After working at Peninsula Health & Eastern Health providing elective and oncall trauma surgeon services, he undertook further sub-specialist hip and knee training internationally in the UK and Europe in 2023 and 2024.
Kade worked and trained with Edinburgh Orthopaedics (Mr Paul Gaston, Mr Phil Simpson & Mr Gavin Macpherson) and The London Hip Practice (Professor Field). This included complex primary and revision hip & knee replacement, robotic-assisted surgery, joint preservation surgery including osteotomies and arthroscopy, and anterior and posterior minimally invasive hip surgery.
Kade has a public hospital appointment at Peninsula Health where he helps train future orthopaedic surgeons, and works privately at multiple hospitals throughout South-East Melbourne.
Kade prides himself on excellent communication to provide high-quality patient focused care both non-operatively and operatively. Utilising the latest techniques and technology he aims to return you to your best as soon as possible with optimised recovery via a multi-disciplinary approach.
Outside of orthopaedics, Kade is a loving husband and doting father to his young children. He still enjoys reliving his sporting youth and university blues football days, but is more likely to be found running or attempting to hit a ball.
